Meet The clinic Founder
Lesley Harris

Lesley Harris - BSc(hons) Physio, MCSP, MMACP, Post Grad Dip Manual Therapy, HCPC Registered
Lesley Harris is the owner and lead physiotherapist at Chadwick’s Physiotherapy, bringing over 30 years of clinical experience, a deep-rooted commitment to patient care and a uniquely personal journey into the profession.
Originally from Preston, Lancashire, Lesley moved to Essex at the age of eight. After leaving school, she began working at Lloyds Bank – a role she held for five years before realising that office life wasn’t for her. That decision marked the beginning of a major life shift. While travelling through Nepal, she met a physiotherapist during a trekking trip, and the conversation stuck with her. The idea of a hands-on, people-focused profession that made a real difference lit a spark. When she returned to the UK, she began researching physiotherapy as a career and was soon accepted to study at the University of Brighton, where she qualified in 1995.
Lesley’s professional journey has taken her across East Sussex, South Wales, and finally to Liverpool, where she’s been based since 1997. She spent 25 years working in the NHS, developing a wide range of clinical skills and building a reputation for her compassionate, clear and practical approach to treatment. Over time, she began working part-time in private practice as well, including alongside Paul Chadwick – a respected physiotherapist who had served as the club physio for Liverpool FC in the 1980s.
In 2020, as Lesley began to feel increasingly disillusioned with the limitations of NHS work, Paul Chadwick announced his retirement. The timing aligned perfectly. Lesley took over his Formby-based clinic in April 2020 – right at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown. Although she wasn’t able to open the doors for the first seven weeks, she used the time to prepare for what would become the next chapter of her career.
What started as a one-room clinic inside Mr. Chadwick’s home has since grown into a thriving multidisciplinary practice. In January 2023, Lesley moved the clinic into its own dedicated premises on the main road into Formby. The new clinic features three fully equipped treatment rooms, a welcoming reception area, and on-site parking – creating a professional but friendly environment for both staff and clients.
Today, Chadwick’s Physiotherapy is more than just a physiotherapy clinic. Under Lesley’s leadership, it has grown to offer a range of health and wellness services, including sports therapy, podiatry, audiology and counselling. While her team continues to grow, Lesley remains at the heart of the practice, seeing patients and leading the clinical direction of the business.
Lesley has a particular interest in treating patients with persistent back and neck pain – conditions that can deeply affect everyday life, from disrupted sleep to limited mobility and reduced quality of life. She takes pride in helping people regain control of their bodies, rebuild strength and function and return to the activities they love. Her approach is rooted in empathy, experience and a clear understanding that no two people – or their pain – are the same.
Lesley’s mission is simple: to provide the kind of personalised, expert care that empowers people to move well, live better and feel confident in their recovery.
